300 MW Solar PV Plant at Bhadla, Rajasthan
This large scale solar energy project by Clean Solar Power (Bhadla) Pvt. Ltd generates electricity using renewable solar energy. The project replaces emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG’s) estimated to be approximately 693,327 tCO2e per annum, thereby displacing 741,845 MWh/year amount of electricity from the generation-mix of power plants connected to the Indian electricity grid, which is mainly dominated by thermal/ fossil fuel-based power plant.
Project Impact and Benefits
Decent Work and Economic Growth - During the current monitoring period, the project has conducted 6 training sessions to educate and build capacity. 42 individuals were successfully employed, contributing to the realisation of SDG 8, which aims to promote sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all.
Affordable and Clean Energy - With the generation of 900,443.59 MWh of renewable energy, the project activity contributes to achieving SDG 7, which strives to ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all, contributing to a greener and more sustainable future.
